Brian Campbell


Brian Patrick Campbell is an American professional golfer and University of Illinois golf alumni. Campbell finished with a tie for 27th and was the low amateur at the 2015 U.S. Open. In 2016, he finished the Tour season with 17 starts, five top-10s, including two runner-ups, and 10 cuts made. He was 19th on the final 2016 Money List.

In only his second Tour start of the season, Brian took his first career 18-hole lead at the El Bosque Mexico Championship presented by INNOVA, by one shot with a first-round 65. From there, he went on to earn his second career top-10 with a T8.

Brian missed the cut at the United Leasing & Finance Championship in his next start but rallied the following week. He had a career-best T2 finish at the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation, after a round of 67-67-67-66—267 left him two shots shy of Richy Werenski’s 21-under pace.

With his first career top-five, Brian moved up from No.63 to No. 19 on the Tour money list. Soon after taking the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship off, he posted a second consecutive top-10 with a T9 at the Rust-Oleum Championship for the third top-10 in his first five starts.

2015-2017 Roundup

In 2015, Brian played in four Tour events. Additionally that year, he played his first start as a professional at the Nova Scotia Open, where he recorded the first top-10 of his career. During, his low round of the week came in the second round with a 66 and closed with weekend rounds of 69-69 for a t-10. Brian then qualified for the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay. He finished T 27, after and opening round 67 left him in a T4.

In his impressive amateur career, he was named Ping second-team All American and All-Midwest Region in 2014. Also, Brian also was named Big Ten Player of the year in 2014 and earned All-Big Ten first-team honors. Before finishing his career at the University of Illinois with four individual titles, he helped lead The Illini to back-to-back NCAA regional titles in 2014 and 2015.

2017-2018 Roundup

Brian finished strong on the Tour at the end of the 2016 season by finishing 19th on the money list. Because of this, he earned his PGA TOUR card and began on the 2017-2018 season.

His first season on the PGA TOUR was a strong one. He had two, top 25 finishes for the season. Brian also had his best finish at the John Deere Classic, where he finished 12th.
